HUMAN CERTIFIED TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Human Certified.

Human Certified provides a public registry through which individuals and organisations may associate themselves with content and publicly accept responsibility for that content.

By registering as an author, creating content records, searching the registry, or otherwise using the Human Certified website and services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you should not use the Human Certified platform.

2. PURPOSE OF HUMAN CERTIFIED

Human Certified exists to create a public record linking content to accountable authors.

The platform is intended to help readers, viewers, listeners and other users identify who has publicly associated themselves with a particular piece of content.

Human Certified is a record of authorship and accountability. It is not a guarantee of accuracy, quality, legality, truthfulness or originality.

3. AUTHOR REGISTRATION

Individuals and organisations may register for a Human Certified Author ID.

To register, users must provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address.

Each registered author is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of their registration details.

Human Certified reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate registrations at its sole discretion.

4. AUTHOR IDS

Upon successful registration and verification, an Author ID may be issued.

Author IDs are unique identifiers assigned by Human Certified.

Author IDs remain the property of Human Certified and may not be sold, transferred, assigned or misrepresented.

Human Certified reserves the right to modify, suspend or revoke any Author ID where necessary.

5. CONTENT REGISTRATION

Registered authors may associate content with their Author ID.

Content may include articles, reports, research papers, presentations, videos, websites, social media content, images, audio content or other forms of published work.

Each content registration may be assigned a unique Content Code.

The author is solely responsible for the content associated with their Author ID and Content Codes.

6. AUTHOR RESPONSIBILITY

By associating content with an Author ID, the author publicly represents that:

• They have authority to associate themselves with the content.

• They accept responsibility for the content.

• The information provided to Human Certified is accurate to the best of their knowledge.

• Their use of the platform does not violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party.

7. NO VERIFICATION OF CONTENT

Human Certified does not verify:

• The truthfulness of content.

• The factual accuracy of content.

• The legality of content.

• The originality of content.

• The quality of content.

• Whether content was created entirely by a human, entirely by artificial intelligence, or through a combination of both.

Human Certified records the identity of the registered author and their willingness to be publicly associated with the content.

8. SEARCH AND PUBLIC DISPLAY

Information submitted to Human Certified may be publicly searchable.

Search results may include:

• Author names.

• Organisation names.

• Author IDs.

• Content Codes.

• Links supplied by authors.

By registering, users consent to the public display of information necessary for the operation of the registry.

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Authors retain ownership of their content.

Registering content with Human Certified does not transfer ownership rights to Human Certified.

Human Certified acquires only the limited rights necessary to store, display and reference registration information within the registry.

10. PROHIBITED USES

Users may not:

• Provide false or misleading information.

• Impersonate another person or organisation.

• Register content without authority.

• Use the platform for unlawful purposes.

• Attempt to interfere with the operation of the platform.

• Use the platform to harass, defame or harm others.

Human Certified may remove content or terminate access where these terms are breached.

11. DISCLAIMERS

The Human Certified platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Human Certified makes no warranties regarding:

• Availability of the service.

• Accuracy of registry information.

• Fitness for any particular purpose.

• Continuous operation of the platform.

Users rely on information contained in the registry at their own risk.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Human Certified, its owners, operators and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from the use of the platform.

This includes damages arising from reliance on registry information, content linked through the platform, or the actions of registered authors.

13. REMOVAL, SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

Human Certified reserves the right to:

• Remove content registrations.

• Suspend Author IDs.

• Terminate user accounts.

• Restrict access to the platform.

Such actions may be taken with or without notice where Human Certified considers it necessary to protect the integrity of the platform.

14. CHANGES TO THE PLATFORM

Human Certified may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the platform at any time.

Features, functionality, Author IDs and Content Codes may be amended as the platform evolves.

15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Human Certified may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

Updated terms will become effective when published on the website.

Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

Any disputes arising from the use of the platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
